There are several surefire love handle excersizes you can do to get rid of your spare tire, and both of them involve getting on the floor.  Find a comfortable place on the floor where you can stretch out.  Invest in a yoga mat so you have a bit of cushion to make it more comfortable for you.  Your first exercise should consist of lying on your back with your knees pulled up off of the floor and crossed at the ankles.  Cross your hands behind your head for support.  Careful to lift only with your stomach muscles, raise your head and upper back off of the floor and back down in a quick, smooth movement.  It is important not to lift with your neck, or pull with the hands behind your head…that is cheating, plus it can pull your neck muscles.  Do these crunches in 20 set successions, resting for 30 seconds between each one.  Make sure to keep your stomach muscles tight as you are doing this.  When you are done with your crunches, move to your stomach and with your legs pointing straight out behind you and your head and neck lifted off of the ground move your legs back and forth in a quick “scissor” move.  Doing this two exercises will give your stomach contour and tone in not long at all!
